South Pacific

Thank you for joining Sand Lake Center for the Arts – Circle Theatre Players as they present the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical “South Pacific.” Music by Richard Rogers, Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein ll, book by Oscar Hammerstein ll and Joshua Logan, adapted from the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel,  “Tales of the South Pacific” by James A. Michener, presented by special arrangement with R&H Theatricals: www.rnh.com.  “South Pacific,” directed by Deborah Dorman, is not just a beautiful, passionate story about soldiers, nurses, and islanders during WW ll, but about the daring themes of racism and class distinctions of that time.  Join us as we invite you to come to our island and be transported to another place and time and enjoy the timeless, familiar music like “Some Enchanted Evening”, and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa  My Hair,” to name a few. The play opened May 13 and continued May 14,19,20, and 21 at 8pm, and May 15 and 22 at 2:30pm.
