Sand Lake Historical Society Talk with David Bushman

Will the 1908 murder of Hazel Drew finally be solved? The 1908 unsolved Hazel Drew murder, which took place at Teal’s pond in Sand Lake, has become a firestorm. It inspired the original TV series Twin Peaks. Suddenly, “Who killed Hazel Drew?” is drawing attention in London, Toronto, L.A. and other newspapers worldwide.

On Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 pm, David Bushman from The Paley Center for Media in New York will discuss this very subject. Bushman is coauthor of Twin Peaks FAQ: All That’s Left to Know About a Place Both Wonderful and Strange (2016). He and Deer Meadow Podcast host Mark Givens have written about the Hazel Drew murder for The Washington Post and Blue Rose Magazine and are currently working on a book on the subject.
