Dan Evans

Dan plays finger-style mountain dulcimer with precision and delicacy. He is also a highly accomplished and stylish acoustic guitarist. He accompanies his fine baritone vocals and presents a repertoire of beautiful instrumental folk music. He adopts a classical approach to British folk melodies, sometimes in medieval modes, often with jazzy chords and rhythms.

With 5 CD albums and 15 international tours under his belt, Dan is one of the few international dulcimer players. His skillful, original playing and engaging performances have won the hearts of audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.

Dan will be visiting us on March 11th at 8pm.

Before the concert on March 11th Dan Evans will be offering a 2 hour workshop titled “Essential Vocal Techniques” beginning at 2PM and will include learning to project your voice in such a way that it will not be damaged, how to sustain breath, and how to listen carefully to sing in tune. This is a wonderful opportunity for all vocalists!
