The Nazi invasion of Paris is imminent. At a dinner party where only booze is served, a group of female writers, among them Agatha Christie, Dorothy Parker and Gertrude Stein, bicker and argue until they are close to boiling point. No subject, it seems, is off limits. A mysterious guest joins the party, and the maid is attentive to all. Everyone, it turns out, has a secret. Who is prepared to reveal theirs? And how can these women overcome their prejudices to work together?

The Finger Lakes Guitar Quartet is the union of four veteran guitarists: Joel Brown, Sten Isachsen, Brett Grigsby and Paul Quigley. The group’s repertoire spans several centuries and includes music that was written for and premiered by them.

FLGQ recently appeared with the Grammy Award–winning Albany Symphony in the world premiere of Evan Mack’s Forever Wild for Guitar Quartet and Orchestra. They have performed for the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society, the Great Lakes Guitar Society, the Mid-Hudson Valley Guitar Society, the Hudson Valley Community College Guitar Festival and the Upstate New York Classical Guitar Society (as well as numerous colleges, festivals and performing arts venues).

Representative Sydney Millsap has a more idealistic approach to politics, which Kate fears may cost Millsap a prosperous political career. But when Millsap’s high-minded principles prove surprisingly resilient in Washington, Kate faces an unexpected dilemma: back the system or what she actually believes in?

In just five camp days, campers will learn how to improv their way into building a completely realized character that comes to life during an interactive murder mystery dinner theatre (provided by one of our area restaurants).

This year’s camp will teach the fundamentals of theatre with a slice of the business side as well. It is sure to be extra cheesy and full of crusty jokes!

Middle to high school ages welcome.

In this musical theatre summer camp, attendees will rehearse and perform an original musical in just five days!

You’d think the story of our park bench would be an easy one to tell. But it isn’t! That’s because the townspeople don’t agree on much. The dreamer wants something wild and crazy; the curmudgeon doesn’t want anything at all. The storyteller just wants a story with a happy ending. Good luck with that. The dog walker, picnicker and jogger all try to tell the story from other perspectives, but no one gets it right. Will the townspeople come together with a solution that satisfies everyone in the end? Join us for this year’s musical comedy!

Camp production directed by Val Kavanaugh, Susan Frost and Jim Holmes. Children ages eight to 13 welcome.

Local favorite and friend of SLCA returns for another solo show!

Folk singer, songwriter and artist Kevin McKrell was a founding member of Celtic folk band Donnybrook Fair and the internationally renowned Celtic bluegrass band The McKrells. Kevin and his bands have performed for audiences at the top Celtic, folk and bluegrass festivals as well as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Troy Music Hall and more.
